There are approximately 3,000 pregnancy centers across the nation whose mission is to walk alongside those who feel they are facing an unwanted pregnancy and need support. With under 1,000 abortion clinics in our country, pregnancy centers outnumber abortion clinics about three to one. They truly one of the most powerful resources to help individuals make a life-affirming decision. Yet, we’re missing one of the most strategic and effective tools to stop abortion – the Church.
Most churches and pastors consider themselves “pro-life.” With over 350,000 churches in America, can you imagine if even a tenth of the churches were actively life-affirming organizations? Can you see the impact they would have on our nation?
So how can a church become an effective life-affirming church? Start a Life Tribe!!
Life Tribe is a group of individuals who come together to message, support and encourage those in their community to make life-affirming decisions. We are here to help your group develop a strategic plan that works for your church, receive training and develop capacity to be powerful and effective.
One of the training tools we use is a curriculum called Making Life Disciples. It has been developed by the national organization called Care Net. They have been around for decades – starting, growing and advancing the pregnancy center movement in our country. They realized the missing piece is the Church. If the Church engages in the life-affirming movement, abortion will cease in our country.
